Our hometown was the scene of a scary accident on Friday, December 4, 2020. According to the Idaho State Journal: “A commercial semi-truck was travelling northbound on Interstate 15 when it made an abrupt lane change to exit onto Interstate 86.” In an attempt to avoid the semi, a 21-year-old Portland woman swerved, sending her Hyundai into the median where it overturned several times.
Fortunately, the young woman was wearing her seatbelt and survived the accident. She took an ambulance to Portneuf Medical Center. As of December 10, 2020, there were no updates on her condition and Idaho State Police were still investigating the crash.
